IEHSC Collaborates with INIFAP to Promote Sustainable Science in Mexico

We are pleased to announce a growing collaboration between the International Environmental and Health Sciences Consortium (IEHSC) and the National Institute for Forestry, Agriculture and Livestock Research (INIFAP) in Mexico.

This partnership, which began in 2020 through an initiative by researchers from the “La Campana” Experimental Field in Chihuahua, aims to strengthen knowledge exchange in fields such as environmental toxicology, animal health, nanotechnology, and medical geology.

Several collaborative actions have taken place over the past year:

  • Virtual meetings with participation from senior INIFAP leadership and Dr. José A. Centeno, representing IEHSC.
  • Ongoing biweekly participation by INIFAP in IEHSC working sessions since April 2020.
  • INIFAP’s role in the organizing committee of the 2nd International Congress on Medical Geology, contributing with eleven short presentations.
  • INIFAP’s collaboration in organizing the 9th International Conference on Medical Geology (2021)and the upcoming 10th Conference (2023) to be held in Mexico.

INIFAP joins a global network of experts and institutions from countries including Chile, USA, France, the Netherlands, Italy, Nigeria, Sweden, and Australia, all committed to addressing challenges related to environmental, human, and animal health.

This collaboration supports the development of sustainable solutions and encourages synergy among individuals, universities, and research centers. One of the initial outcomes includes a Special Issue in the International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health, highlighting research at the interface of environmental sciences and health.
